....
So...sweet. I loved the ending. It was better than I had hoped for. It was a sweet happily ever after. Not just happily ever after but a sweet one. Awww
Everyone ended up happy. And not just suddenly happy but worked towards the happy. And seeing how they reacted to loosing thier other halves was moving. I can't help but imagine how difficult that would be. They lost a part of themselves they hated, that caused them so much problems, but they also lost a part of them that always felt it belonged as part of a specific group, even though in Kyo's case it was the part of the outcast but still. And finally seeing how Mama died and her last thoughts....so sad and yet...so moving. I can't help but feel a lot of widowed/widower parents would probably feel that way when they died. They don't want to leave thier child alone but they are also going off to be with the one they loved and have always would love. So sad. I'm glad that Kyo finally had his issues with her death dealt with. That seemed like one of those serious therapy necessary things at first.
I am forcing my mom to read this series. Her family, and their wierdness, will finally have some competition in the screwed up catagory. Still at least that family now gets along. Ugh, somedays I don't think my extended family, aunts and uncles and such, will ever act like adults.
I am so taking this with me to college. Screw the lack of book space!
....Squuueeee! This was so sweet!!
I also ended another, shorter, series today called Nightmare Inspector. It is a series about a baku, dream eater, who helps people with thier nightmares. The series ended in a way I totally didn't expect. It was like the ending of the third Abhorsen book, in the feeling it inspired. A sort of sad but that's how its supposed to end sort of thing. Sad becasue its over but not sad at the same time because the ending fits so well. I'm going to have to reread that series.
The series is pretty odd and at times bloody though. Oh well. I can disturb my roomate. I did it in high school and it caused no problems so why should my wierd reading habits do so now.
And to top it off I got the 7th Vampire Knight book and I have to say...didn't see that coming. This series is starting to have some unexpected twists. Nice! I was worried it might turn out like a lot of vampire books with one of the guy characters just backing off in the end and the girl giving into the other boy, usually vampire, and living happily ever after. This one looks like there is going to be much more drama between all those involved in the love department. And the drama about what happened 10 years ago....Yay! So going to be interesting to find out about it.
All I need to get book wise now is....
-Bride of Demios-old series that sounds good
-Juvenile Orion-accidentally bought a book that I thought was this but was in fact a similarly titled series
-Fables-comic series that has a fairy tale element to it
-Loveless 8-yeah its yaoi, normally I don't like this stuff but I love the character design and the importance of words in it. I feel like I'm reading a story instead of looking at it unlike some manga(not mentioned in this post)
-Tsubasa, Those with Wings-comes out in huge books, by the same mangaka of Fruits Basket, has a love story, need I say more
-Hellsing 10-whenever that comes out, the end of the bloodiest series I've ever read, should be awsome, apparently they added extra stuff to the American version of it, and the mangaka's newest project looks like it could be promising, if only he'd finish The Dawn...
-xxxHOLIC 12 on-the series is trippy but the individual chapters can (usually) be read seperatly and still be interesting, don't have a clue about ending and I usually do
-Sandman-it was the first graphic novel to get major awards, and its by Neil Gaimen, need I say more
Any suggestions for other series I should quest for? I probably won't be able to buy them for years but eh, dreams are good for you.
